Premium Financing
We are pleased to offer premium financing with Imperial PFS for risks bound through our agency. Flexible payment options are available for both commercial lines and personal lines risks. A typical premium finance agreement for an annual policy requires a minimum down payment of 25% of the premium and taxes and 100% of fully earned fees with 9 installments. Other contract terms include semi-annual, quarterly, bi-monthly and monthly payments; down payment percentages and number of payments vary. Payments can be made by coupon, invoice or recurring ACH. There is no early payoff penalty. Policies with fully earned premiums are not eligible for premium financing.
Agents should request premium financing when submitting a risk for quotation or requesting a binder. The premium finance agreement must be dated and signed by both the insured and agent and returned by mail, fax or email to the underwriter at Roush Insurance Services, Inc. or emailed to accounting@roushins.com. A down payment check in the form of an agency check, cashier’s check or money order is required to process the agreement and must be received in our office within 10 days of the policy effective date. We do not accept insured’s checks. Agents are encouraged to deduct their commission from the gross down payment amount.
Once the agreement has been accepted by Imperial PFS, the insured should remit payment directly to Imperial PFS in a timely manner to avoid late fees and cancellation. The remittance address is 24722 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1247. If cancellation occurs, we will forward any return premium to Imperial PFS; Imperial PFS will refund to the insured any credit remaining after the contract balance has been paid. Additional premium endorsements can usually be added to a premium finance agreement; contact your underwriter for more information. Return premium endorsements must be remitted to Imperial PFS; we will bill the agent for chargeback commission and remit the gross return premium to Imperial PFS. The insured should continue to pay per the original contract terms until Imperial PFS notifies the insured the payment amount and/or schedule has been revised.
